Guns with the name WESTERN FIELD were made for and sold by Montgomery Ward, a large retail chain store with offices in Chicago, IL. The Model 565 was made by the Noble Manufacturing Company of Haydenville, MA. and the gun is the same as the Noble Model 602. Noble was in business from 1953 to 1971. Retail chain stores didn't sell the most expensive line of shotguns. They sold basic utilitarian grade guns.
