One of the most notable features is the B&T designed hydraulic buffer system, which greatly mitigates recoil and enhances overall accuracy. Another prominent aspect of the SPC9 is the lower receiver which takes much of its design from the B&T APC9 series. This lower accepts the reliable B&T polymer magazines, but versions that accept Glock and Sig 320 magazines are available as well. In addition, the SPC9 features two different charging handle systems: a classic AR-type charging handle and a non-reciprocating, foldable charging handle mounted above the barrel. Both of these systems are fully ambidextrous and allows the operator to use whichever system they prefer.
